Terms
The agreement between you and MascotLab. The important part is short: what you generate is yours, including commercially, and it stays yours whatever happens to your subscription.

Your account
You need an account to generate anything, and you sign in through Google or GitHub. Keep that sign-in secure, because whoever holds it holds your account. You must be at least 16 years old.
One account is for one person or one team. Sharing credentials broadly, or reselling access, is not what this is.
Credits and plans
Generating costs credits. Different kinds of artifact cost different amounts, and the app shows what a generation will cost before you run it. Animations additionally require an active subscription, because video is by far the most expensive thing we produce.
A subscription grants its monthly credits at each renewal. Those credits reset with the new month rather than accumulating. Credits bought as a top-up are added to your balance and stay there until you spend them.
You are charged only for generations that succeed. If a generation fails, the credits stay in your balance. Exporting and downloading your work is free and unmetered.
What you own
Everything you generate is yours. You can use it commercially: in your app, your store listing, your marketing, your merchandise, without paying us anything further and without crediting us.
Cancelling changes nothing about that. A cancelled subscription stops future generation; it does not reach back and take away what you have already made.
We keep the rights to MascotLab itself: the site, the software, the brand.
What AI output can and cannot promise
Your character is generated fresh from your description rather than picked from a library, but no AI tool can guarantee that a result is unlike everything else in the world. We do not clear trademarks, and we cannot tell you a character is free to register.
If a mascot is going to carry your brand, have a trademark search done before you commit to it. That check is yours to run, and the responsibility for using the output is yours.
Acceptable use
Do not use MascotLab to generate any of the following. This is the whole list, and we would rather it stayed short.
- Anything illegal where you are, or anything sexual involving minors.
- Deliberate copies of characters, logos or trademarks that belong to someone else.
- Content that impersonates a real person, or that harasses or targets one.
- Attempts to work around credit limits, rate limits or the sign-in system, including through the API or an automated agent.
Connecting other tools
You can connect a coding agent or another client to your account, and it acts as you, spending your credits. You are responsible for what you connect and for what it does, so connect tools you trust and disconnect ones you no longer use.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel whenever you like, from your settings. Your plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for, and then stops. We do not pro-rate a partial month.
If something goes genuinely wrong on our side, tell us. We would rather sort it out than hide behind this paragraph.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running and we do not promise a specific uptime. Generation depends on providers outside our control, and occasionally they fail; when that happens, your credits are not spent.
We may change or retire features. If a change removes something you rely on, we will say so.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or anything else that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will tell you before the change applies to you, and continuing to use MascotLab after that is how you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by German law, and the courts of Germany have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of the country you live in.
